BigTown Projects Presents:

2025 BigTown celebrates its 25 years of Community Programming.

The community generated by the celebration of the arts has never been more important. Witness, celebrate and coordinate with us as we present the work of many important artists and writers working on such topics as war, climate, the environment, and the community building critical to how we move forward in these turbulent times.

BigTown Gallery has been immersed in a region rich in solitary art-makers working in a creative alternative culture for over 20 years. Initially drawn to and inspired by several artists educated following WWII by the influential GI Bill (hugely instrumental in founding the region's prestigious MFA programs), BigTown has long sought to highlight the significance of these artists’ contributions to the contemporary art world, exhibiting works from the span of their careers in art to a regional audience.

Moving into its third decade, through its non-profit BigTown Projects, the gallery space features exhibitions dedicated to those contemporary artists working to educate us about our changing world. A core group of artists continue to be supported by BigTown Gallery.

Art can be purchased through the BT—VT website, through exhibitions at the Stable, the gallery and at art fairs.
