Phew! What a summer! We’re blown away by the incredible talent and all the folks—near and far—who joined us. From photography to film, each Immersive Summer Gathering lit up Route 100 and brought new life to our little corner of Vermont.

From the kickoff event and the transformation of the Rochester High School building into the Valley Hub, to the gallery, garden amphitheater, wood-fired oven, and the Stable Inn, this season was all about expanding community, creativity, and connection.

Over the past 40 years, BigTown Vermont, Doon, and I have focused on place-making—bringing people together through art and the land. With this summer’s gatherings, we leaned into community, restoration, and bold new ideas.

Our show Being Here Now—open through September 14th—set the tone, capturing the urgency of our times and inspiring the films and talks that followed.
